I am so excited. Someone has finally thought of mums, their bumps and their state-of-mind. I don’t want to sound selfish but I love that someone has thought of Mums, not mums and their children, but just the mums. All first time pregnant mums should know that after the birth of your baby, it’s all about THE BABIES. It’s the truth that other mums can attest to. Baby showers are just gifts for the baby, we organise children’s birthday parties, it’s their schedule that will run our lives for the next few years so when someone like Sensasia Spa collaborates with Emirates Golf Club to create The Yummy Mummy Club and a new baby shower venue (that doesn’t involve clearing up after your own party), I am sold.

I would never have thought that a Golf Club would be a venue for a baby shower but the Le Classique restaurant venue was beautiful and peaceful – just how a baby shower should feel. I am expecting baby number 4 and I will definitely consider having my baby shower here – the only snag is that my baby is due on August 21 so it will have to be indoors. The venue was literally covered with cakes, chocolate truffles, tempura and sandwiches, and it delighted all the pregnant mothers who attended the morning tea. The Emirates Golf Club offer mums-to-be to host their baby showers at their Le Classique venue on Fridays between 12 – 4pm. It costs AED195 person for tea and soft drinks or AED245 if you wanted to add a glass of bubbly. The best part is that there is no stress of clearing up the party after.

The most exciting part of the morning was to discover that the Senasia Spa also has a branch at the Emirates Golf Club. Salina Handa, owner of Sensasia Spa and mum to twin girls, was there to tell us about the launch of the amazing The Yummy Mummy Club. By joining the Club, you get a monthly Mummy To Be Massage, a free Yummy Tummy Treatment, a free kit from Mama Mio (my favourite mum-to-be products), a free 30 minute post baby arrival Mum and Baby wellness check from the Cooper Clinic and up to 25% off all SensMama treatments. That just sounds so delightful to my ears right now. I need massages and time out forced on me.  This Easter break is the perfect time to start.
