Ronald Dupont is master of the urban landscape. With unique style he captures the very essence of the sprawling metropolis that makes up the backdrop of modern life in the city.
‘The Ultimate City’ is a snap shot of Dubai in 2014. Portraits of a city in the making. These canvasses document the building of an iconic city and the people behind it, the myriad of nationalities that go into making present day Dubai. These arresting works on first appearance have a photographic quality, at a second glance one is aware that these are oil paintings created with extraordinary skill. The artist uses acutely selected detail to capture the moment. The combination of traditional painting, contemporary style and subject matter is Ronald Dupont’s signature at which he excels. Ronald Dupont was born in 1961 in Belgium where he still lives and works today.
